Ambassador H.E. Mr Veikko Kala
Veikko Kala serves as Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Singapore. Before taking up his position in August 2025, he was Estonian Ambassador to Israel since August 2021. From 2019 until 2021 Amb. Kala served as Foreign Policy Adviser to the Prime Minister. Since 2005 he has worked at the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has been posted to Vienna (2009-2012) and Moscow (2014-2017), where he served as Deputy Chief of the Mission. During his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Kala has worked at the Policy Planning Department and Arms Control Department.
Veikko Kala is a graduate of the Department of Political Science at the University of Tartu and has earned a Master’s degree.
Veikko Kala was born on 12 February 1981. He is married and has 3 children.
